SiteBrief checks a small-business website and shows the issues most worth fixing, in plain English.

SiteBrief runs a short set of permitted checks and returns a readiness status, no more than five prioritized findings with supporting evidence, and a clear list of anything it could not check.

A report lists at most five findings, chosen as the ones most worth addressing first. A later scan re-evaluates the website and may surface different ones.

Before you submit: SiteBrief retrieves publicly accessible pages from the website address you submit, the same way a browser or search engine would. It will not sign in, submit forms, change anything, or crawl an entire site. Only submit a website you own or are authorized to have checked.

In this preview the address you type is not retained, transmitted, logged, or analyzed. It stays in your browser.

What SiteBrief checks

When enabled, SiteBrief will run a short, deterministic set of checks against pages visitors can already see. Findings are written for an owner, not an engineer, and each displayed finding will be tied to recorded evidence.

It loads, and it loads securely

Whether the address resolves and responds, whether HTTPS is available, where redirects finally land, and obvious redirect problems.

The basics search engines read

Whether the page has a title, a description, a mobile viewport declaration, and a canonical link — reported neutrally, not as a scorecard.

Whether a customer can act

Whether a contact path and privacy or terms links appear to exist, and whether a small sample of navigation links actually work.

Automated accessibility signals

Missing page language, images with no text alternative, form fields with no detectable label, and obvious heading-order problems.

Speed and mobile signals

When a supported measurement source is configured, the collected values are stored with their source and collection time.

Common security headers

Whether HTTPS, strict transport, content security policy, content type options, and referrer policy headers are present.

What it does not do

  • It does not crawl an entire website. It inspects the page you submit and a small capped sample of links.
  • It does not test for vulnerabilities, attempt any intrusion, or perform penetration testing.
  • It does not determine legal compliance or issue an accessibility or security certification.
  • It does not sign in, submit forms, place orders, or modify anything on your website.
  • It does not do keyword research, rank tracking, backlink analysis, or competitor tracking.
  • It does not claim that a lab measurement represents what every real visitor experiences.

How results are reported

A check that cannot be completed is reported as a limitation, never as a pass

Evidence first

Each finding stores the value observed, its source, and the time it was collected. Plain-language wording never adds a measurement or a claim that the evidence does not contain.

Limits stated

If a source is unreachable or a page cannot be inspected, the report says so and is marked as a limited scan. No result is invented to fill the gap.
